History of DH-Design Holzverarbeitungsges.m.b.H.
Establishment of the company and installation of a production line (timber plant 1) for the production of ready to be bonded antique timber for the three-layered board industry under the management of Franz Hinterecker with, back then, 11 employees.
2000
Constructional and technical extension of the existing production. Successive extension of the production programme with cover lamellas made of larch and oak mainly for the production of wide blank floors.
2004
Establishment of the independent timber plant 2 (south of the already existing timber plant 1) for the production of lamellas for hardwood floors (oak, acacia, ash, nut, etc.). The new production line is specialised in the processing of log wood and sawn timber.
2008
Massive modernisation and extension of the older timber plant 1. Since 2 years swiss stone pine is also an integral part of the production programme. The whole company counts 50 employees by now.
2015
Since end of 2018 our newly established, fully automated biomass heating system with a rated output of 1600 kw guarantees this heat generation which is operated by using our very own wood chips. By using an electronic fine-dust filter the emission- and fine-dust levels are far below the legally specified thresholds set by the Austrian government. It goes without saying that the productivity and efficiency levels of the entire plant are considerably higher compared to the previous operational system. The automated power control of our new buffer tank guarantees an optimal supply to our production as well as an improved running of our new biomass heating system. Last but not least this investment also facilitated a further capacity expansion by building another drying chamber.

2020
In order to strengthen our presence on the Central and Western European raw material purchasing markets, which are particularly important to us, we decided in September 2020 to found DH Holz Germany GmbH, a company that specifically deals with the procurement and trading of hardwood lumber and hardwood logs. We would like to further intensify cooperation with our partners in Germany and particularly in France in order to gain new suppliers for our company.
